Terms of Use
The rules for using SafeMemes, in plain language.
Draft for legal review, last updated 17 September 2026. These terms are written to be accurate about what SafeMemes does and does not do. They are not yet in force, and a lawyer has not signed them off. The items marked [to be completed] need the operating entity's details.
SafeMemes is operated by [registered entity, company number and address to be completed] ("SafeMemes", "we"). Contact: [contact address to be completed].
1. What SafeMemes is
SafeMemes is software. It lets you create a token with a staged sale (a "SafeLaunch"), release NFT editions, and trade tokens created through it, using smart contracts on the Sonic network.
We are non-custodial. We never hold your tokens, your funds or your private keys. Every purchase, sale, mint, refund and withdrawal is a transaction you sign yourself, executed by contracts we do not control once they are deployed. We cannot move your assets, reverse your transactions, or recover a wallet you lose access to.
2. Who may use it
You may use SafeMemes only if you are at least 18 years old, you are not subject to sanctions, and you are not in a jurisdiction where using it would be unlawful. We may block access from particular countries or regions. [Restricted jurisdictions to be completed with counsel.]
You are responsible for your own compliance with the laws that apply to you, including tax.
3. Nothing here is advice, and nothing is guaranteed
SafeMemes does not give investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
Tokens and NFTs created through SafeMemes have no intrinsic value and no guaranteed price, liquidity or future. A token's price can fall to nothing. The staged sale and the permanent liquidity remove specific failure modes: they do not make a token a good investment, and they do not protect you from losses.
4. If you create a token or a drop
When you create something on SafeMemes, you confirm that:
- you have the right to use the name, artwork, description and links you publish;
- your content is not illegal, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or an impersonation of another person, project or brand;
- you are not using SafeMemes to defraud anyone or to evade securities, consumer or sanctions law;
- any claim you make to buyers is your claim, not ours, and you are responsible for it.
You keep ownership of your content. By publishing it through SafeMemes you allow us to store it, display it and let others display it.
Publishing is permanent. Profiles, token details and NFT metadata are published to Arweave, a public network that does not support deletion. We can stop displaying something on this website, and we will where we must, but neither we nor you can remove it from Arweave. Do not publish anything you may want withdrawn later.
5. Fees
Fees are set in the contracts at the moment your launch or drop is created, and they are shown to you before you confirm:
| Event | Creator | SafeMemes | Safety reserve | Liquidity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A SafeLaunch sells out (share of the money raised) | 5% | 2% | — | 93% |
| Each trade after launch (0.50% fee) | 0.25% | 0.20% | 0.05% | — |
| An NFT edition is minted | 95% | 4% | 1% | — |
Creating a launch or a drop may also cost a platform creation fee in S, shown before you confirm, plus the network's own gas fee. Buying during a staged sale costs no platform fee.
6. What we can and cannot change
We can:
- pause new launches, new drops, new buys and new mints;
- stop listing something on this website, or remove it from our own pages;
- change fees for launches and drops created in the future;
- change or end the gas-back rewards programme for future rounds.
We cannot:
- stop you selling, refunding, or withdrawing your earnings from an existing launch or drop;
- take, freeze or move tokens you hold;
- change the price, supply, cap, artwork or royalty of something already created;
- withdraw the liquidity of a launched token, for ourselves or anyone else.
7. Gas-back rewards
Sonic's Fee Monetization programme pays a share of network fees to the applications that generate them. When SafeMemes receives such a payment, we share part of it with the creators and wallets whose activity generated it, following the policy published with each round.
The programme is discretionary and depends on Sonic continuing to pay. Once a round is published on-chain and its review window has passed, the amounts in that round are claimable as published. Nothing in a past round entitles you to a future one. Claims expire after the window stated in the round (at least 90 days).
8. The safety reserve
A small share of trading and mint fees goes to a reserve held by SafeMemes. It exists so we can respond to security incidents. It is not insurance, it does not cover market losses, and no payout from it is promised or guaranteed.
9. Risks you accept
Smart contracts can contain bugs, including ours. The SafeMemes v2 contracts are audited by inDemniFi against a published underwriting matrix, with the findings and reproduction steps published. inDemniFi is affiliated with SafeMemes, so that review is first-party rather than an independent third-party opinion. The Sonic network can halt, reorganise or change. Wallets and browser extensions can be compromised. Prices can collapse. You can lose everything you put in. Use SafeMemes only with money you can afford to lose entirely.
See the risk disclosure for the longer list.
10. No warranty, and limits on our liability
SafeMemes is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise the site or the contracts will be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost tokens, lost opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to [cap to be completed with counsel]. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.
You agree to cover our losses if they arise from your content or your misuse of SafeMemes.
11. Complaints about content
If something on this site infringes your rights, impersonates you, or breaks these terms, write to [contact address to be completed] with the link and what is wrong. We will review it and remove it from our pages where appropriate. We cannot remove anything from Arweave or from the blockchain.
12. Changes, ending access, and law
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to use SafeMemes after a change means you accept it.
We may stop providing the website, or block your access to it, at any time. The contracts keep running either way: your ability to sell, refund and withdraw does not depend on us.
These terms are governed by the law of [governing law to be completed], and disputes go to [forum or arbitration to be completed].
